Kristi (she/her) has been working with Peanut since 2022, writing for the blog and running the Parent Self-Care Group.

Kristi is a mother of two and has been practicing as a Marriage and Family Therapist for over a decade.

In her spare time, you’ll often find Kristi trying to set up iced coffee dates with friends, drawing, and reading.

Kristi is a fierce supporter of all caretakers, and believes that nourishing ourselves and practicing self-compassion is essential.

By taking care of ourselves we not only model healthy habits for those around us, but we are also able to engage in community care and have a positive impact on the world.

Kristi is passionate about connecting with parents and creating a space where people feel valued and inspired.

Fun facts about Kristi

  • Kristi has taken tap dancing classes off and on for over 30 years.
  • She loves to swim, and once completed the Alcatraz swim in San Francisco.
  • Kristi used to live by the beach, and hopes to retire near the water.
  • She drinks iced coffee no matter how cold it is outside.

  • BA in Mass Media Communications from University of California, Los Angeles
  • MA in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University

Work experience

Kristi has worked in the mental health field in settings such as: schools, private practice, county mental health, and eating-related disorders treatment centers.

Kristi has written for a range of brands, including Peanut, My Self-Love Supply, and The Nourish App—all while running the Parent Self-Care blog.

Career highlight

Kristi self-published her first book, Self-Care 101: Self-Care Inspiration for Busy Parents, in 2020.
