I asked 2 doctors at the rotunda and both reccomnended without hesitation to get it at any stage of pregancy. My gp was the only one who was concerned that if I got a reaction and went into labour, it would be crap for me to deal with. She was not concerned about baby. I ended up having mine this day last week when I was 39+3. Had to weight up pros and cons but made a fully informed decision from asking as many questions as possible. Not a decision I made lightly but wanted to ensure I was in the best possible health. Took the Pfizer and had zero reaction. Barely a sore arm. Glad I took it. So far I haven't gone into labour but baby moving around. All checks up (I've had 3!) have gone well. It really is up to you about if its a good or bad idea. Just ask the questions you need to and have faith in the doctors. I believe it's safe and effective. Others may not AGREE. Decisions made during pregnancy should not be made lightly. Only you know what's best for you and your baby. X

Thank you xxx

Drsarahmurphy on Instagram did some very good posts on this last week..said the vaccine doesn't pass through placenta, just the antibodies. She's worth checking out

I got mine at 36 wks. The only thing I would say is do an antigen test before you get the booster if you do decide to get it. Turned out I was going through covid with no symptoms and the booster ended up triggering the actual covid. I had fever of 39 degrees for two days and ended up in hospital for one night due to dehydration. All is good now, had no other symptoms than fever, baby is all good and I’m 37+5 now 😊 Don’t regret getting the booster at all

i got boster back near end of november and i was due baby in January and all was good no negative effects and vaccine does not cross placenta only antibodies
