I personally have a cold humidifier, so if you’re looking to decongest baby you can go into the bathroom, sit and run the shower on hot, the steam will open babies sinuses and hopefully that will help.
Yes Tylenol for sure, and Frida snot sucker works wonders.
I definitely would not use Tylenol. It isn't as safe as people are lead to believe. There are plenty of homeopathic remedies available. Here are 2 examples of 2 different companies... They are available at Walmart and Shoppers. https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/kids-0-9-night-syrup/6000077959757?skuId=10187745&offerId=10187745 https://www.londondrugs.com/boiron-coryzalia-cold-for-kids---15-x-1ml/L0037470.html Saline spray/drops, snot sucker, cool mist humidifier, a warm bath
If you take the baby to the hospital, they will 💯 recommend Tylenol to bring the fever down if it hasn’t come down on it’s own. Homeopathic meds are great, but in some circumstances, you need something stronger.
@Raquel i just gave him tylenol. Is it possible i can give day syrup now?
Thank you everyone for the recommendations 😊
@Sahiba I am not sure, and therefore I would personally wait to see if the tylenol 'worked' first before doing anything else. I've never given my kid Tylenol before so I'm not sure about possible interactions with other things. I would assume you could because they are completely different products, however, I wouldn't want to make an assumption in this case!
@Sahiba I plug the tub, run the shower on hot, put 2/3 drops of eucalyptus oil and close the door. It creates a nice steam. Then after about 5 mins I fill his mini tub with warm water and bathe him in that while surrounded by the steam in the room. I put a warm washcloth in his back and chest and follow up with a snot sucker after the bath. It helps🤷♀️. Of course infant Tylenol to help with fever/pain. Good luck!
Have you given him infant Tylenol? Run a humidifier in the room. Also, the frida baby snot sucker is amazing, and saline nasal drops help too.
