Stopping weed

Hey mamas ! I’ve been smoking every night during the second trimester just a little bit to help my anxiety and my sleep, but mostly my mental health. I just turned 28weeks and decided it was time to completely stop but I am not feeling well! Im having some headache, so much nausea and It hurts everywhere! My mental state is also the lowest it has been. What do you guys think would be the best for baby and I? Continuing to feel this way hoping it will pass or continuing smoking at night?

I did during & still do while breastfeeding. It's really up to you. Only you can make that decision. Best of luck 💚

If you are having a hospital birth please keep in mind they drug test the babies and will call cps if your baby test positive so make sure your doctors are aware that you are using cannabis

I stopped using months before my baby was born and he tested positive at the hospital which was odd because I tested negative, it was really scary and stressful for us to deal with cps especially considering I have my medical card, it felt pointless and I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through that

I think that depends on the state you live in.

I smoked with all 3 (still do), but with my first I stopped for a month. I had the worst sleep, hip aches etc.. My mid wife and I talked about it, she said this "if it helps you sleep, takes nausea away, and helps while your body adjusts, listen to your body." It's a legal substance and if it helps your body adjust, sleep, and settles your mind... then do what you need to.
