I LOVE the witcher, the books are great too I listened to them on Audio book during my pregnancy when I was too tired to read, but can't beat Henry Cavill. How do you feel about upcoming actor switch? I thought Nightmare of the wolf was different but good and I'm just about to give blood origin a go. Wednesday was a good watch and I love Stranger Things. I quite enjoyed the first couple seasons of Locke and Key too but struggled to get into last - may have been late pregnancy lack of concentration though so may have to give it another go. I'll have to give Alice in Borderland a try as not yet seen it
I love a box set, love fantasy shows historical dramas and comedy dramas. Love GOT, house of the dragon, rings of power, the detectorists, fleabag, am also obsessed with ru Paul’s drag race. Really enjoyed the traitors as it reminded me of playing werewolf and mafia with my friends. Not watched the Witcher so will try that. Really love Vikings and can’t wait for the new Valhalla series
@Lisa I thought Locke and key was a really interesting concept and loved the keys, but felt like it became quite teen angsty in the show and I reckon the graphic novels are worth a read - got this on my reading list :) Did you like umbrella academy? It’s one of my favs, also has a graphic novel that looks really good I love the Witcher too, haven’t read the books but loved the game, despite its many glitches which caused hours of resets and replays 😂 I’m def not a fan of the actor switch, especially because supposedly the reason is that the writers of the show strayed too far from the source material and Cavil wasn’t happy. Alice in Borderland is totally gripping, I watched two seasons in one weekend (currently laid up with sciatica) and there’s a manga you can read for free that’s really good Loved the traitors which was basically BBC does werewolf - if they do a season 2 we should have a watch party on FB live with the group :D
@Natasha ahhh the traitors was so fun! Hubby and I stayed up binging it as we missed it over Christmas - do you think the right people won? I feel like K kind of threw it at the end and probably the other side should have been victorious, even though morally that would have been questionable 😂 Loved GOT and liked the seventh season, basically the only one in my group who did 😂 Fleabag is also great but I was kinda sad about the ending, was shipping them ❤️
@Natasha Really enjoyed house of the dragon too. I have just started the detectorists and really enjoying it so far. Loving all the Essex references too!
@Charly So agree about L&K - it's on my list to read too but not git round to it yet. Find reading so much harder atm with bubsy! Never have a free hand for a book! So I've got really into anything I can listen to on an audio book lately. I loved Umbrella Academy, also enjoying Lucifer and The Sandman at the moment which are also based on Graphic Novels. I got myself the first one in the Sandman series to have a read as soon as I get time. No I'm not a fan either, Cavill is a fab Geralt as he is such a nerd himself he has so much respect for the source material, such a shame they are going to mess with it 😪 The witcher games are on my list to play, I think I'm going to love them as loved books and series and love those sort of games but I've heard it's pretty hard! Oh no sorry to hear about the sciatica, I suffer with it too on and off so know how rough it can be when it flares up. Hope it goes off for you soon. At least you have some great TV to keep you company! Love the watch party idea!
@Charly I actually felt will deserved some money after playing such a good game. He should have recruited Hannah and would have won something. I started the us version yesterday it’s gots some reality tv celebs in so is not as good as the uk one and all the challenges are the same but still very watchable. I am a terrible lier so I am so bad at werewolf but like it when there are lots of silly roles.
I just finished Alice in Borderland series 2 and am all binged out on Wednesday, not sure if I want to give blood origin a go because Henry Cavil forever and also I heard it has bad reviews. What does everyone recommend? :)
