Yes. You can work yourself however there are limits.
You even can work yourself aslong as your income isn’t more than £125 a week

Yes you can as his wage doesn’t come into it. It’s to do with the person providing the care to a child. But obviously to claim carers allowance your child needs to be getting DLA (not sure if you already know this) xx
