Yes, the log burner will impact it, anything that emits smoke/fumes. Check for faulty heating/gas appliances, exhaust pipes and other people smoking around you, But the log burner, even if it’s properly ventilated, will still have an impact x
It can be to do with whether you are around smokers, if you were at your friends with a log burner, they might need to check their CO monitor. It can also be to do with the environment, for example if you live in an area with high levels of air pollution, if you get the tube regularly etc, it can relate to lots of things.
@Nav thanks but nope I’m not around anyone that smokes and my partner doesn’t smoke either 🤷♀️
@Kristina thank you! My reading was a 5 🙄 which seemed really high!! But yeah I’ve checked everything I can. I’ve ordered a brand new co2 monitor just to double check mine is working okay. It seems to be working fine but just want to double check!
@Caitlin thank you. That’s reassuring. My reading was a 5 🙈 which seemed super high for someone that doesn’t smoke!
Are you lactose intolerant? I had this done with a score of 1, but midwife told me a mum to be got a score of 15 and was because she’s lactose intolerant! It can pick up on that? X
@Kristina how odd I tested a 1 last week and midwife said you can’t get much lower than that. I’m also a non smoker. X
@Rachael see that's weird they were stressing saying I should have a 0!
@Rachael I’ve always tested 0 so you can definitely be lower than 1
@Kristina my midwife said if it said 0 they would think it wasn’t working! Might be to do with how built up the area I live in is. I got a 1.
I tested a 1 in one of my tests which they also said was high as I've never smoked etc. They said it could be air pollution, from being in my car if I had been in there a while etc. They tested me again the next day it was 0 again. I wouldn't worry too much if your home is safe (ie you checked your alarm is working).
