Help/advice please

I’m 24w today. This morning my bf and I were having sex and he noticed some blood. We stopped straight away. I went and wiped the blood up and to see how much there was - it was about 1-2 tsp. No pain at all. Called 111 and they told me just to rest and it might be due to the aspirin. They said I’m best not to go to hospital due to the stress it might cause when there’s probably nothing wrong? They said if I don’t feel baby move for 3-4 days to call again and arrange a scan etc. But I normally feel him move all through the day and especially the evening. So far I haven’t felt a single thing and it’s 4pm. Should I be worried and should I go to the hospital? Or just wait and see? I’m feeling so anxious 😞

Definitely ring your maternity ward 24 hour line - much better to get checked. Waiting 3-4 days isn’t what any midwife would recommend so that’s mad from 111!

I would ring your midwife, I would be really worried in your situation and everything’s probably fine but you won’t settle until you’ve checked baby’s okay. I’ve had bleeding after sex twice and apparently it’s pretty normal but it’s always better to check!

I wouldn’t wait if you are worried and have noticed a change in movements. I’d get checked straight away - ring your hospital’s maternity ward or your midwife to check the heartbeat. 3-4 days seems a crazy long time to wait for 111 to say! Any midwife/doctor I’ve ever spoken to has said to call straight away whenever there’s concerns and they won’t mind at all and will check what’s going on. Hope everything’s okay x

Call your midwife/maternity triage. If you are rhesus negative they need to check you out.

I would call your midwife over 111. Your midwife will be able to give you the best advise as they’ll know your history, care etc c
