Freezing breastmilk

I wanted to pump and freeze a little extra milk for the days I need to run some errands and my husband stays home with the baby, but I can never pump more than an ounce at the time, I basically produce just enough for baby right now (he’s 2.5 weeks). Do you know if I can freeze these ounces together even though I pumped them hours apart?

Yes you can, the milk just has to be the same temperature, as I heard. So like above said, cool the milk in the fridge at the one oz and add it to the rest once it’s cool.

Yes! I do that and then freeze in 8oz increments! When I pump during the day I pump from the opposite breast while baby is feeding (not every time maybe like 3 times during the day) and then my husband gives her two bottles of expressed milk every night so I pump then too. I get anywhere from 1-8oz per boob and now have a giant freezer stash. You can also look up the pitcher method! I personally cool the freshly expressed milk to the same temp as the milk that’s already been in my fridge before I add it.
