We had a chicco one for my first baby which was great till 6 months then I got an ergobaby preloved which he went in right up till around 15 months and would still fit in now if he’d stay still 😂 they’re not cheap but I’d definitely say ergobaby is the most recommended I’ve seen. If you can pick up one on Fb or something they usually go for around £50
If you have one near you, I'd recommend looking at a sling library. You can test/ hire them out and upgrade them as and when you need to when baby grows. Or if you really like one you are using after trying you then know to buy it yourself as some are so expensive!
I've used the baby bjorn mesh loads in the past and loved it. There is so much support for you back. We, however, have decided to go for the new ergobaby as they're just less bulky. I also bought a freeriders sling (second hand) for in the house and for when she is very little, eventhough the ergo will fit from newborn as well.
I got the Nuna CUDL, and it’s great as it is suitable from newborn up to couple years.
I got a ring sling and a woven wrap, as both are recommended for newborn days and can be used up to toddlerhood; and we got a used ergobaby omni 360, but a lot of structured carriers are a little too stiff for newborn spines and might not be as adjustable :) there’s a great Facebook group on baby carrying and a few Instagram accounts like “wrappinggames” or “letstalkbabywearing” where you can get lots of free info! Depending on where you live there’s also something like “sling libraries” where you can try different styles
I got an ergobaby 360 omni. There’s lots on Vinted :)
We’ve bought a Tula Free to Grow one for outside. Other half has found it pretty easy to practice with so far. Been gifted a sling and a Koala one as well but thinking will be more likely to use those around the house
I have the Nuna Cudl 4in1! It has been the absolute best!! Good 4months(8lbs)- Back Carry: 25-35 lb, 9+ months I tried other ones and they would literally turns my little girls feet purple! This was the only one we didn’t have issues with! You can actually adjust the crotch width, sounds weird but so important!
Close caboo is perfect for when they are tiny, really easy to put on and super comfy
We have the Joie savvy lite. (Haven’t used it yet personally but was recommended) we looked at a few and where extremely complicated for people like my dad who are rubbish with things like that. This is simple to put on and not loads of buckles. X
