I got bad shoulder pain and bicep tendinitis in the beginning. My girl is now 3 months old and weighs 12-13lbs and it's coming back. I see a chiropractor, and I have a tens machine I use.
This was really bad for me in the first few months! It went away for me after my daughter was over 3 months. I hope it does for you too!
i had wrist pain from repetitive motions (not carpal tunnel) from before pregnancy so i’m prone to it, after the first month pp i started having terrible pains specifically from the way i’d pick her up… i too wore a wrist brace. tip: use vicks at night before bed and massage the area that hurts try to get deep in the tissue and rub the vicks well until it starts to heat up, then wrap it up with anything you have bandage, scarf, whatever. i’d did this multiple nights and it really helped
Hey! RMT here and I treat this all the time! Carpal tunnel and Dequervians symptoms are both so common in new moms. Try and wear the baby vs holding as much as possible. Use those moon shaped pillows for feeding if you can so you don’t have to hold for that as well. The braces can be super helpful in keeping the wrist straight when holding your LO or sleeping. Highly recommend seeing a massage therapist as well. You can also try castor oil wraps as it will help reduce the inflammation.
Hey, I had the same problem with my twins when they were babies too. I highly recommend to buy a theragun it’s a bit on the expensive side, but worth every penny.
I remember I had this! It went away after 3- 4 months or so on its own 😊 be strong, mama!
Omg same! Definitely get a brace. A little later on, when I was able to hip carry baby it got better for me. But it was soooo bad (and I’m prone to the wrist and elbow pain from work). Once baby is able to hold themselves up, holding them gets easier on your body. But you have to try to keep a straight back, and tuck your tailbone down, it helps.
