@Edit she’s not rolling just yet but keeps pushing herself up on her legs when lay down so I think she will soon. The perfect noggin can’t be used overnight once rolling I believe? We have an appt to discuss a helmet this afternoon but not sure if I should hold out for a while? 😣
We started our journey at 6 months and were done in 3 months. We were considered severe and we resolved the torticullus ourselves by 6months. Just know that the helmet helps because of growth spurts. The more growth spurts you get while wearing, the sooner it's off. The spurts get farther apart the closer to two you get so that's why they push to get the helmet early.
Sorry I’ve only just seen this post … My son was exactly the same ! But due to covid he didn’t get an appointment for the Torticollis until it was essentially too late to fix his head shape as he was over 1 . We did get an appointment with a company that sells helmets but they didn’t think it would improve as much as we’d like due to his age so we didn’t do it in the end . At the time I was so worried that it was being left untreated but now you honestly could not tell it’s there and unless you know he has a flat spot you wouldn’t know it was there ☺️ his torticollis also pretty much resolved as he got older too so you would never know he has a tilt unless he’s tired /poorly . @Amy I am sorry I did not get a notification about your answer. Only now that someone commented. To be honest my son was able to roll when we started to use the Perfect Noggin, he was 4.5 months. However he never rolled when sleeping or in bed. We slept in the same room and I am a very light sleeper so I was sure he was safe but it is a very personal choice, they do not recommend using it once they start to roll. Did you go for the helmet in the end?
@Amy we are just about to start a very similar journey. Our little man has torticollis and right side flattening too. Our helmet appointment is next week. Did you end up going the helmet route? Hope all is well with you and your little one!
Can she already roll from back to tummy? We had the same issue, my son had torticollis. We started to go to an osteopath but I was not happy and we went to a Hungarian physiotherapist who was very professional. We also used the Perfect Noggin for 6 weeks and my son's head rounded out.
