Oh good question! I think the answer will vary widely depending on what is most important for your family and what your budget is. I’ve stayed at every single Disney resort on property at least once and I definitely have my favorites. But my preferences may not match what someone else’s preferences are. For me the most important things are proximity to the parks I will be spending the most time in, I like to have at least one form of alternative transportation other than the buses, and I like a good pool because we always do at least one afternoon in the pool. Because of my preferences I do tend to lean towards the Moderate and Deluxe hotels on property.
