@Beth we are only on day 4 of taking it please can I ask you some questions? 1- we’ve seen no difference yet, was this the same for you? 2- did you get the liquid or the tablets you dissolve? 3- our baby seems to spit up a lot of it and it’s hard to tell what she’s taken of her meds- any suggestions? 4- did reflux affect your babies sleep and has it improved now? This is our main struggle, she’s only comfortable upright We’ve been told to dissolve one tablet into 10ml and then syringe and give her 4ml. Sorry for all the questions we are just desperate for something to work x
We are 4 weeks in, it's definatley helped alot, we still have good days and not so good days but the not so good are still better 😂 X
@Beth @Lucy ahh ok. The reason I ask is because it says online everywhere on all the official things about it that it doesn’t stop actual vomiting and that’s the only “reflux” symptom she has - it would help with silent reflux as it’s just the acid, but she vomits continuously so I am now not seeing the point in her being on it ☹️
@Alice it definatley helped my daughter's vomiting, it hasn't cured it but I do partly think that's because currently she isn't on the right dose for her weight and my GP gave her a very small dose anyway due to being premature X
@Rachel how premmie was your baby? My LO is on 1.5ml at 4kg and is now 4.5kg waiting on a call back from gp to amend dosage hopefully X
Hey hun. Sorry for late reply. Had a nightmare time with the little one. 1) it took about 2 weeks to see a difference. 2) the dissolvable tablets. The dr refused liquid as it costed too much money. 3) this is how I give I to him - boil kettle, cut tablet into 3 bits & place it on a large spoon, drip a few drops onto the spoon with a syringe, walk away for 5 mins, then use a cocktail stick to stir/break away at the tablet. You should get a paste (don’t use too much water) and then I use my clean finger to wipe the paste onto is tongue and mouth. Then I give him a small amount (no more than 80ml) of his bottle, taking it in and out of his mouth and popping any excess meds back into his mouth, I do not burp him and I leave him upright for 30 with his dummy in. 4) he was up every 30-40 mins in agony with silent reflux. Our dose is a whole 10ml tablet so you could halve yours before adding the water. Xxx
Our LO has silent reflux, it’s been awful. We were worried to use it too but we’re nearly 3 weeks in and it’s made such a difference. It takes a good 2 weeks to really get working on their stomach pumps but we wouldn’t be without it now. Barely get any flare ups and he is so much happier. Just watch out for constipation. Our LO was already struggling with constipation and then the Omeprazole made it worse so he then needed laxatives prescribed to go for a poo x
