Toddler aggressive towards older kids
My son is in daycare. With the weather being nice all the kids go outside to the playground at the same time. He sees the preschool kids chasing eachother and play fighting. He then tries to copy them by doing it to them and other kids in his class (he is 2). The teachers try to stop, move him away, and place him in timeout. I'm torn by this because I don't want him to be the mean/aggressive kid but he is just copying what he sees the other kids doing and he isn't doing it to hurt anyone.
I have no advice, my son is also 2 and has occasional issues with physical aggression. What seems to help us is to play fight/wrestle (gently) with him at home. He kind of learns what is and isn't okay.
