Does the military help you with a divorce?

Are there resources that the military (Army) offers their service members when it comes to a divorce or do they tell you that you have to take care of personal matters on your own?

No they’re garbage about divorce. They can sometimes advise but that’s really it

No divorces are civil problems not military. If the other spouse hasn’t already spoken to JAG you can go to jag and all they give is advice on what to do that’s it

@Satori and @Niki thank you! That's crazy, you'd think they'd offer more to their service members.

Well they don’t help you get married they don’t help you get divorced. That’s not their forte and that’s how civilian jobs are too but they can just advise you what to do and the you need to contact an actual attorney that handles divorces but you are welcome I hope it all goes well

However even though they will not help you with a divorce if you have children they will certainly make sure that the service member still maintains his responsibilities to his dependents
