Obstetrician Cortelluci Vaughan Hospital

Hello, I am looking for recommendations for an obstetrician who delivers at Cortelluci Vaughan Hospital. I am new to the area and a little lost as first-time mamma! Any help is welcomed! 🙏

I just had my baby at cortelluci on the 18th

My ob was Dr Sonali loukage but she is at York major medical centre but you will have your baby at cortelluci

@Mami congrats on the new baby. How was your experience with the Hospital and if you don't mind sharing the Ob name that delivered your baby, please. Thanks

@Valeria Omg she delivered my baby for me .. it was exactly 10mins when I got to 9.5cm dialated

Oh that is great! But keep in mind not always your oB will deliver the baby

@Valeria I second Dr. Thakkar. Her office is just west of Vaughan Mills, appointments were usually always on time or very close to it, receptionists are friendly and the doctor is great. She actually ended up delivering my baby too which was a pleasant surprise (doesn't always happen FYI).

I was with a midwife but they had to call an ob, so I had baby delivered by Tuba Aksoy very good experience. She had to use forceps but explained the risks and we agreed. No issues with baby

@Natália Dr Sheila delivered my baby for me although my ob was loukage but she was operating downstairs she still came to see me check up on me .. I loved them both … the only time I met Dr Sheila was when I was 9.5cm

Dr Thakkar is amazing

I agree with dr. Thakkar! She was my OB and I had the pregnancy from hell. She was so patient and supportive through the whole process.

Dr. Thakkar was my OB just had my baby last month and she was amazing!

Thanks everyone for the recommendations. This was very helpful!

Definitely not dr. Stacey grossman.

@Paula She delivered my baby and I had such a great experience. Curious what issues you had if you don’t mind sharing?

Dr. Aksoy was my OB and I had a lovely experience with her. They work on a rotation so your OB may not be who delivers for you. I was in labour for 27 hours so I went through 4 OB shifts at the hospital 🥲 and Dr. Grossman ended up delivering for me. She was incredible.

Awful, completely understaffed to the point they are limiting my treatment options because no one will be able to care for me, some nurses aren’t recording the tests etc that have been done so the follow up nurses are going off my word for clarification. Doctor on Duty appears absolutely exhausted. Would love for this experience to turn around before I really am ready to give birth in the next day or so
