I never got prescribed aspirin they literally just told me to buy these ones from the shop, I got the same ones from boots. Ring your midwife unit and ask them if it's ok, pretty sure it is but could be different advice.

Give your gp a call and get an urgent prescription, they’re able to do that if you run out of meds. They did with me and my aspirin through my pregnancy

My midwife/ GP prescribed me aspirin as I had placenta increta with my last baby so it’s used to increase the blood flow from my placenta to baby in hopes this baby weighs more than 5lb. I’d definitely ring and check or simply wait for your prescription

@Harriet I was the sane

I didn’t get prescribed any I just brought it from the shop

They're exactly the same as the ones we would give you (I'm an obstetric doctor). And the same as the ones I've bought for myself. Xx

I’m not sure id consult doctor as it says on packet 🤍 best of luck to you xx

I’ve been using this branded aspirin since 14 weeks and I am turning 30 weeks this week, they’re perfectly fine. I take 2 of them making it a total of 150mg which was recommended by my consultants. They’re also sold in boots and other pharmacies and it was a pharmacist that sold it to me. I don’t get them prescribed because the cost of prescription is far more than buying it over the counter 🙂. If your consultants have recommended aspirin, any branded aspirin will be fine, just focus on the dosage they have told you to take.

Aspirin is aspirin. As long as it’s the same dose as you’ve been having previously there’s no problem. Speak to your doctor or midwife if you need reassurance.

Yeah of course - it’s aspirin! You can buy it over the counter it doesn’t matter what the brand / label is. As long as it’s the same dose you’re absolutely fine. I did that all the time during pregnancy when I was between prescriptions.
