Same!! All my close friends aren’t moms so it’s so difficult getting them to understand I can’t go out drinking every weekend like they can, and even if I could I wouldn’t want to spend all my weekends away from my babies 😅

Hey babe, it's hard isn't it. Most of my friends are busy with their own lives and if we make plans they end up getting cancelled.

@Beckii exactly this!! & they don’t try to do what we can now do as mums either, why not come over for a girls night in, we can chill and have drinks at home with baby playing all around us 😂

@Ameenah my problem is I'm 43 with a 5 year old, most of my friends kids are a lot older

@Emma it really is. Im 38 and before having a baby i had a very active social life. I lost alot of friends during and after pregnancy. My ex best mates both stopped talking to me because i wouldnt let them come over to see my newborn during a pandemic in lockdown. At this age im finding it hard to make genuine new friends

@Mimi that’s quite sad, how weren’t they understanding in that situation? and tbh even if you had no reason other than you’re not ready for visitors, that’s also very valid, it’s your baby !!

I feel the same, it’s also partly because i’m young (22 with a 2 year old), I automatically think anyone over the age of about 25 wouldn’t want to bother with me, and anyone around my age probably doesn’t have a child! 😭

@Mimi oh I'm so sorry 😞 My friend was very excited to meet my daughter, I've seen her once in 7 months, and that was at about 1month after. I've made every effort, but now I just feel like I should stop 😞 Even just having someone to talk to would be nice

Definitely know how this feels.. Daughter is 2yr 9mo and I'm 37..haven't really made/meet any mum friends even with going to a baby group.. Can be quite lonely, I have a couple of old school friends but neither have kids and rarely get to see them.

To be honest, I'm part of the problem too. I'm too tired to travel. I need friends that are super close haha I'm learning to drive now though, so hopefully I can broaden the field where it comes to friendships.

@Ameenah they dont believe covid is real. This was during the very 1st lockdown 2020 One of them reached out to me last year but i wasnt too keen to reply back.

Hi Ameenah. I feel exactly the same! It's so hard making friends as an adult. I moved to Birmingham about 18 months ago so it's been extra hard trying to meet people xx

I don't know why...but I m in the same situation...I can't find real friends...I know people but they are not friends...so many people want to have mates to go out with a d post pics on Facebook that's why its hard because we don't know what honesty loyalty means.. its all fake..
