We have decided to homeschool mainly because we don't think schools actually teach children properly anymore. There's alot of things that have been added to the curriculum that we don't agree with, with homeschooling we have more control over what they learn and our kids will be allowed to ask questions and think for themselves without being told they wrong for questioning in the first place.
Same as both of the above, plus my daughter had learning difficulties and the school just didn't know how to help. Taking her out was the best decision we made and now she going on to college ready more than she would have ever been having been at school.

The RSE curriculum is not morally right at all for us and we don't agree that certain vocabularies should be taught in very young levels.
We chose to home educate because our oldest and middle can’t cope in a school setting. Oldest (who has Autism and anxiety) would spend her days either having meltdowns and be violent so we couldn’t get her there and when we did get her there she spent the day trying to get out (we even had the attendance people bully us because her attendance was low). Since having her home since December 2018 she is a completely different child who loves to learn. With our boys we didn’t send them back after lockdown. Before that we would get daily calls from the school saying he had run out of class and had been disruptive all day (he has ADHD). We watched him over lockdown and he learnt a lot better at home (and so did our youngest) so we decided to deregister them. Yes our youngest has been lazy and not wanted to learn but he is cracking down now and loves doing challenges with Twinkl
Oldest daughter got assaulted by a teacher and middle daughter they couldn’t support her with her SEN
I just hated school runs 🤣 I mean we had all the regular issues with school. The times he was devastated about a spelling test or the kids that hit him with lunchbox. But if our days had been easy and I didn't constantly have to deal with a cranky over tired kid, we probably would have pushed through. I took him out when he was 9 and now he's at college, I think it all worked out well.. Now I get to start again with my preschoolers!
We decided to home educate because my daughter was extremely uphappy at school and was bullied. Choosing home ed was the best decision ever 😀
