Dumb question

When is a good time to get baby a passport? What happens if baby’s looks changed and he or she no longer looks like the picture?

I love to travel and I want to get my babies passport as soon as possible just so she can have it. Children’s passports are good for 5 years but I’m not sure how it works if their looks dramatically change. Like if I get my baby’s passport when she’s a newborn she’s not gonna look the same when she’s 4 😅 that’s a good question actually

You can get it anytime. I got mine for my baby when she was 8 months. Kids passports are only valid for 5 years whereas adults are 10.

We have used that same passport while traveling internationally during those 5 years even though her looks changed. No problems. I did bring her birth certificate with me just in case.

I got my younger son’s passport at 4 months old. He ofc looks nothing like the pic now, but haven’t had any issues. Sometimes getting toddlers to be still for the passport photo is a struggle haha.

Thanks Everyone! I’ll get his passport now

My first child was 5 months when she first traveled they had us get her another one again we went went back out of country when she was about 1 year and a half because the first year the babies features change a lot

Lol, my son got his passport at six months. It was good for five years. He was pretty unrecognizable in another six months.
