Tips and Advice

Hello everyone, We are about to start trying for baby #2. We have a 2.5 year old. Does anyone have any tips for being pregnant with a toddler and if anyone had Hyperemesis Gravidarum and how they managed it? I have HG in my first pregnancy and I am so nervous! Thanks in advance!

My little boy was 18m when I found out I was pregnant again and I felt more sick than I was sick but when I was sick it was horrific and I had to get my mum to look after him as I physically couldn’t, most she has him for was two days and nights. I was sick throughout with my son from 6-39 weeks

I’m currently pregnant with my second baby and had hg my first pregnancy I’m almost 8 weeks and have only been sick once! I feel soooo much more sick but the being sick part hasn’t started and I’m confident it won’t so don’t be scared you’ll get it again as you might not x

@Victoria Hi Victoria, thank you for sharing. Yes we have told our families that we are trying, no secrets this time, as we will need them on standby too. How did your little boy react? I'm scared about how it will impact my son!

@Kenzie Hi Kenzie, thank you for sharing and congratulations on your pregnancy! It's true that each pregnancy is different but I read that if you've had HG before you're very likely to get it again...!

@Lauren he’s surprised us both. We have to say gentle hands a lot but most of time he just doesn’t bother with him and if he does he wants to hold his hand. I do baths together, nappy time together to try and include him in everything with baby. I want one more and if my husband agrees will start trying when our youngest is 6m old the two hasn’t put me off 😂
