Christmas Day plans?
Those of you that are solo parents, how old is your child and have you had a Christmas just you & them before? How have you done all christmasses and do you plan on changing it up some years? My sons only 2 and a half this christmas, his first Christmas we still lived with my mum so we spent Christmas at home with my family, last year we had moved out so went to my mums at around 11am after having breakfast and opening presents at our home, this year he will be 2 and I will probably do the same this year but I’m thinking about next year and years to come, will he rather be at our place as that’s where his new toys will be? I want to make Christmas a special and magical time for him and unsure what the best way for that would be?😩

We did sleepover at my dads last year so he woke up there and I brought his presents in the car the day before. It was so lovely! The year before it was just us at home and i cried lol. This year I think we’ll be travelling abroad and just get small gifts or have his presents ordered out there early
I have a 12 yo boy and nearly 4 yo boy, different fathers. But only about 2 christmas (1 for the nearly 4 yo) we have been at home but still visited family on those Christmases. My 12 yo has been at his dad's every other year since he was about 2. My nearly 4yo goes to his dads on the same years too. It will just be me and my newborn this Christmas and will be spending the day with family.
