Where can I go for fellowship?

Since even before I was married, I was trying to find fellowship with my church. To have liked minded people to spend time with in faith within the same age group. I met my now husband in 2019. we were active with each others church activities, which included school of religion...religious education on Sunday. We married in 21 and have been trying ever since, and boom, we find out about the pregnancy by the new year. As a new mom, I now see why some struggle to find time or fellowship because you are also caring for a little human being. My parish got a new group going, but it's still very prayer based while I enjoy that and need it...I still beg for activity where we can bond as people. I don't like leading things because planning gives me enough anxiety and worry about failure. I strive for this fellowship since I became a young adult, and now I feel I moved into the next group when you become parents. So I joined here hoping to find not necessarily like-minded people; but women who are also looking to bond with other women as we raise our children. Book clubs, activities with the little ones, any sort of discussions, or play dates. I want nearby friends. I could call or text someone a lot, but I need someone to help me out of my shell.

I started a mother's holy hour at our parish. I know you said you don't like to plan, but there's not a lot to it. At ours, we do an hour of adoration while the kids go play with my teen daughter (we've also hired parish teens before or sometimes the moms will take turns watching the kids), then we join the kids for another hour or so of coffee, snacks (when someone brings something), and talking. We've done topics in the past, had an occasional speaker, but usually we just chat about whatever. Hope that helps!

@Melanie that's my next thing I was actually looking up the local library schedule when this app was recommended by Google

You could also ask the person organizing the mom prayer group you attend at your parish if she could help you plan a weekly park day 😊 If you make it weekly, it’s less committal, and you won’t have to plan it more than once bc it’ll just be every week

I don't live close and my kids are older than yours but I get how hard it can be message me any time. I am also the mom who just waved at you.
