PCOS and trying for baby

I will go Gp next week... but I have every symptom of PCOS. My period is also 5 days late (all pregnancy tests are coming up negative) Me and hubby been trying for baby no2 for over 7 months. Tried everything and no luck. Just wondering if anyone has PCOS and able to concieve/what were the issues. We have a 2 year old already and we got pregnant so fast with her. Is this normal? Can you get PCOS after pregnancy/later on in life? I'm 34. Help pls x

Hi Hun, I'm following as I'm in the same boat I'm afraid. I also have two immediate family members with PCOS. My sister has two daughters. She has PCOS, and she sadly miscarried a lot, but she did have two successful pregnancies x

Hey, going through the same thing also been trying for baby number 2 for about 9 months. Have quite long cycles too which makes it harder to know when I'm ovulating! Thinking of going to the GP as well soon. I'm 31 don't and worried its harder after 30 particularly with PCOS😞 I pray it happens for you soon, 🙏 x

@Faaizah when were you diagnosed with pcos? I'm going GP Monday. My period has started now so not pregnant. I have so many symptoms I think I need to get checked. All the best for you too xx

I was diagnosed quite a while ago I think about 5 or 6 years ago. Ahh sorry it wasn't this time I know what it's like.. the number of pregnancy tests I've been through is crazy! 😢 thank you lovely xx

I have pcos and it took me a few years and some ovulation induction treatment to have my daughter. Also had a few early miscarriages along the way, common with pcos. Generally people with pcos will have a baby but it may take longer. Diet helps ie less carbs, metformin helped but in the end it was injectables to induce ovulation that worked for me with trigger shot. If you go to the gp they will probably do an ultrasound and blood test before referring to a fertility clinic.
