It took me a few months to get used to tarot and understand each card and their meanings. But I mostly rely on my intuition about what the cards are trying to say. It also depends on the other surrounding cards too. If I’m stuck on a card I’ll either pull a clarifying card or just look up in the book what the specific card is saying.

It takes time for sure but keep at it. You won’t even realize when it all clicks because it’s part of the process. And there’s no shame on still using a book/explanation
