I'm going to start soon but with Lactaid since that's what I drink and he's on Nutramigen... this month was very difficult finding his milk
@Tru agreed
We are going to start slowly adding it to her formula at the end of December
My doctor said we can switch at 11.5 months. I’m doing about 8 ox a day right now to transition
I give my 10 month old about 1 oz of whole milk in her breastmilk bottle when she’s at daycare. I am not pumping enough and we’re so close, I’m not going to buy formula. My pediatrician said it’s fine.
@Jeri yeah same with yogurts and I also make his porridge with whole milk so thinking he was already used to digesting it. I’m hoping when he gets to one I can switch completely and the taste won’t be such a shock lol
My daughter has been on whole milk since 9 months and doing just fine. Not my 1st time switching early my 2.5yo is happy and healthy as can be.
@Nina that’s awesome! My son has been eating whole milk yogurt with no issues so I’m assuming milk shouldn’t be a problem. At least I’m hoping it’s not
I’ve started giving my baby 10months a small amount of whole milk in his beaker throughout the day. He seems fine so far digestion wise. I’m still breastfeeding for his main feeds though. Just a couple of sips throughout the day of the whole milk.
I gave my daughter while milk when her wic ran out
I plan to at about 11-11.5 months just give him half an ounce to an ounce a day separately from his formula just to get him a little used to it. If I see that it's hurting his belly or making him constipated, then I will stop until he turns 1y 🤷
Talk to your babies dr and see what they say. Our dr told us that before one they can’t digest lactose well
@Jeri I don't really know if it's an actual issue to start early, I just keep hearing about it😭 My son will be 11 months next month and I have WIC but only 7 small cans and Im tired of not being able to find the brand they provide me and then having to buy a 50 dollar can when I use up the 7 small cans for the month if I can even find the brand
@Tru I was going to try and wait until closer to one but I’m like what does waiting one more month do? If we could just start the transition a little earlier

Or til they're one and older.
I haven't thought about it because everything I hear about milk is that they can't have it til after one
The only thing I noticed with whole milk is that it makes my baby super constipated. My son is going to be 11 months on the 29th and we give him kendamil but he eats whole milk yogurt and we add whole milk to his oat meal or mashed potatoes.
