I can absolutely and will absolutely go into detail with sources if needed or wanted but let me say it short for you: It's not good or healthy and has side effects and consequences to it but the studies are not as in depth as they are with other substances but again, it's not 100% safe. Nothing you smoke is.
But the cravings don't make you a bad person at all either. I know a lot of people say it helps with mornign sickness and I don't doubt it but it's not a risk I was willing to take personally.
I’ve been smoking the whole time I’ve been breastfeeding. My son is 19 months old and we’re still going strong. He’s been thriving the whole time. I’ve used for postpartum anxiety and rage and, personally, I’m more comfortable passing trace amounts of inactive thc than I am pharmaceuticals for those things. I just change after I smoke to keep it away from him. At the end of the day though it’s up to whatever you’re comfortable with.
@Alice Thankyou x
I know plenty of moms who Smoke and still breastfeed, I think it’s perfectly fine but someone could educate me maybe.
@Alice what about small dose edibles
I did with my first and now my second, my first is 3 and great and smart. My second is 4 months old and he has rolled over and tries to sit up all the time
I smoked most of my whole pregnancy. I quit at 30 weeks so baby and I could test negative at hospital. But I started smoking as soon as we got home. She’s almost 3 months and is completely healthy and fine.
I smoke she’s 5 months.
@Claudia I would argue that's even worse but studies and professionals mostly put it at equivalent dangers as smoking weed as well. Not to mention most anecdotal evidence involving "my kid is fine!!" Is not always thorough and usually biased as parents would never want to accept anything they do might harm their child.
There's literally fentanyl in epidurals. You can smoke a little weed
@Aura Uh, please do Not scare mothers for no reason. Neuraxial fentanyl replaced morphine for the pain drug as it lasts a shorter time and has far less side effects during birth. Fentanyl is not evil. Doing any controlled substance illegally recreationally or otherwise is dangerous. An epidural is less than 0.125% Fentanyl, 0.0002% ratio for labor pain relief, AND in a CONTROLLED environment with doctors. It can be dangerous, yeah, but not as dangerous as unregulated substances. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4616487/
@Alice lmao okay girl
I wouldn't suggest to smoke just because it's tempting, but if u decide to do it, then from what I've learned about it, I haven't seen anything negative impacting the child.

@Sarah I'm really curious, fo you have any sources for these claims?
If you have real concerns about smoking and brestfeeding i would suggest talking to your pediatrician ...there are a lot worse things mother's can do than smoking a little cannabis while brestfeeding..you can smoke and brestfeed and still have a completely healthy child,,they make hemp wraps papers or even using a clean piece if you're worried about passing things to your little
@Sarah and your baby’s fine? X
