Dates and raspberry leaf tea

Anyone has successful birthing experience with raspberry leaf tea and eating dates weeks before going into labor? I’m considering it starting at either 35 and 36 to help prepare me for birth

I ate dates with my first two and had reasonably smooth quick births. I’m adding in the raspberry leaf tea this time and am expecting a magical, painless, short birthing experience. 🤣

@Kelsey nice nice when did you start eating the dates and how often :o

Idk I eat them sometimes my whole pregnancy because I like them lol. But I think I was more intentional around 36 weeks. I couldn’t get in 6 of them though, the medjool ones were too big and sweet. so I did like 2 or 3 per day. They’re yummy with some butter or almond butter inside and a sprinkling of salt. Costco has some great soft ones right now. They’re usually better if you get the ones with pits in and take the pits out yourself, otherwise they can be kinda dry and chewy

I did both of these with first child, who knows what made a difference because I also sat on a yoga ball to get baby in right position . I also did the daily walking. I also did acupuncture, who knows ! But I would do it all again

@Emily ohhh what got you doing acupuncture? Does it help relax the body’s muscles? I’m def going to get a yoga ball soon too. FTM so honestly I’m just going to try everything hoping it will prevent me from tearing

@Kelsey noted! They are very sweet for sure, I might try to eat them with my morning oatmeal to give it some flavor 😋

I had them both during my 3rd trimester with my first. I think I started around 30 weeks. I put the dates in my oatmeal! Lol Lara bars are also made with dates, so one of those a day worked too. I don't know for sure if they contributed, but I had a fast, smooth labor with no tearing.
