Eczema cream that works!?!?

Hey, so my 16month old has been diagnosed with eczema.. we have been given daktacort hydrocortisone cream and dermol moisturiser for her but her skin is absolutely terrible!! She wakes up crying in the night scratching at it even when we put on outfits with less skin showing so she can't get to it to damage the skin.. Is there anything we can give her what will actually work!? The creams off the Dr's are just not working, nor is the baby aveeno..šŸ„ŗšŸ’” She's suffering with it and I can't bare to see her in pain, please if there's anything you guys have tried and works, help a mum out xx

I don’t know if they have this cream where you are but Vanicream has absolutely helped my little guy! It keeps him really hydrated and it isn’t a steroid cream!

We have struggled for months with our sons skin and nothing seemed to keep it at bay, we recently saw a dermatologist who prescribed Aproderm, there is a starter pack which contains 2 different lotions a calming gel and ointment, the ointment is quite thick, similar to Vaseline texture but has worked wonders on my sons skin! I’m pretty sure you can buy the starter pack online for around Ā£12 if you wanted it to test out or the GP may prescribe if you ask? I understand how frustrating it is trying things and having no success😢 Hope you find something that works! šŸ¤žšŸ¼

My little boy was under dermatology for his eczema and they prescribed hydromol ointment and a steroid cream for if it gets bad and it’s been a life saver. He’s like a new baby. Apparently the ointment will soak better into the skin than a cream and they literally have to be soaked in it constantly but it’s worked wonders for us so could be worth a try! We were the same at first on all sorts of creams and nothing helped but it will get better!! Xx

We finally have been prescribed after multiple steroids and creams we now have hydromol ointment and we’ve cleared up so much

I recently tried a brand Mustela, had to order online for the eczema prone skin but I fell it has kept his skin moisturized and let us get a better grip on his eczema. The steroid creams help but I feel they don’t really get to the root of the issue and it just would come back maybe even worse. I hope this helps, so frustrating seeing your little one struggle with so little options out there that actually help.

Very often allergies causing eczema. The skin will clear ones you find an allergen . We struggled for a few months with severe eczema . Both had to go on very strict diet ( baby is BF) , changed detergent , bath only once a week ,water only bottled or filtered, plus cotton only clothes . His skin cleared in days . Sometimes candidas or worms can cause allergies. Ideally a few simple tests have to be taken , but in UK it is impossible unfortunately or waiting list is too long .

Our baby's skin was soooooo much worse with dermol. Epiderm has been a miracle for us

We were prescribed Dermol as a moisturiser but found it dried my daughter's skin out. We used the hydrocortisone twice a day for 7 days when she had a flare up and Vaseline (the original jelly) 4 times a day xx
