Carobel & Neocate formula

Having nothing but issues since birth, has a cow milk allergy and seems to be struggling breaking down proteins, Baby had plyroic stenosis and had surgery at 8 weeks Now he's 13 weeks and still sick and diarrhoea, he's on carobel which I'm sure is causing his diarrhoea, However there isn't anything else and the milk is too thin for him to drink alone, Waiting for dietian but he's not gaining much weight and is struggling so much with his poo, expecially after he's had stomach surgery... Any advice please

I can’t comment on much due to mine not having surgery however she’s 11 weeks and I’ve changed formula multiple times due to a cows milk allergy and problems breaking down protein and struggling with gas, I’ve just changed to soy formula and it seems to be working wonders

Neocate made my LB so much worse! We’re now on Alfamino, will 2 scoops of carobel for 4oz.. he’s better than he was on Neocate but still not right. Neocate made his projectile vomit across the room, grunting in pain and horrific watery diarrhea!

My lg was prescribed Nutramogen and that worked wonders, if they are struggling with the proteins then they may struggle with soya, this is because the soya protein molecules are the same size as cows protein molecules.

@Toya yes then we've now been moved to alfamino, still the same issues though

@Sharees they did that three milks ago, he's now on alfamino and still having the same issues, That makes sense though with the soya I'll have to check the ingredients to this formula. He's screaming all the time in pain, all professional have told me that they have exhausted avenues and the best I can do is wait for the peadatrics

@Bex it definitely did too with mine. His poo was so watery!! Screaming in pain, changed to alfamino and still the same issues, really distressed and unhappy, He's with every team other than gastro which I'm now fighting to get too

@Aimee Alfamino on a hold is a cows milk… all baby formula for that matter . u need to try the hypoallergenic one in that same brand or any other brand in the future.

@Aimee how long have you been on alfamino? It took 8 weeks for my LB to see any differences, I was so done :(
