Wriggle bums

Okay gals how the hell is everyone who has a wriggler changing nappies . My boy wants to look at and grab anything and everything if I give him something he doesn't want that . He rolls himself so fast onto his belly and screams and crys because he does not want to lay there . I have started to use pull ups sometimes ad its easier to have him standing and step into them but I find they aren't suitable for over night or for before he has pooped in the day . It's actually REALLY getting to me everytime he needs a nappy change he crys and I feel awful having to grab him to try keep him in place . I have seen online " wriggle bums " but has anyone actually used one and do they work for strong wrigglers ? I have also tried juat letting him lay on his stomach but it's still a mission with a nappy. I feel like this is such a silly drama compared to the issues some other people are having and the answer is probley something so simple but honestly everything else with him is so easy but nappy change is a nightmare 😭😭

We are using pull up during the day and just wrestling for the evening nappy overnight 😅 and putting toys in my mouth toys for her hands basically toys everywhere and make sure she wants that toy first 😂 BUTTT it’s rough! And often we are full of tears- sometimes me too- and my husband of home helps in the evenings for the night nappy cause it’s so difficult

We bought one a few weeks ago for our super wriggly boy. It definitely doesn't stop them from wriggling but it keeps them in place enough so that they can't flip over, I also find the ring to hook a toy through really useful to keep them occupied. I've actually noticed the past week or so bubs has stopped wriggling so much even when I haven't secured him - not sure if he just automatically thinks he's strapped down now lol

@Tiffany same same. I try giving him everything I have my reach. Creams/ powder/ toys. It used to work good when he played with it while I quickly changed his nappy. Now he UNDERSTOOD the purpose of me giving him so he plays with it for a second, and throws is in other direction only to go reach out for it !!! Hahahahahaa oh these babies!!!!

I use the wrigglebum and love it! I got a 2nd one for travel. I hate doing nappy changes without it now lol They can still wriggle but it stops them from rolling over, which was my issue - as soon as I put my girl down on her back, she just wants to roll over, so it's been a lifesaver! I have a change table on wheels that we roll from the bedroom to the living room and it's been helpful to secure her as we move the table (obviously don't leave her unsupervised on it, even when strapped in).

@Vidhi yep we’re the same! It’s so challenging!

I don't use anything anymore as he was so rolling over even with the straps! And then standing up and banging against the wall behind the change table 😂 I now say our little ones name and place my hand in his chest. I say I know you want to get up right now but I need you to lay down so I can put your nappy / tshirt / pants on. It took a couple of days of consistency and patience with this and now he's much better.

Snacks or bottle works ahha night time change she is having her bottle while getting ready for bed.. during the day just do it quick or give snack or i even give her her feet to hold hahah she thinks its funny

SAAAAAAME I have tired a few things that sometimes work. We’ve got a sucker toy that jingles, if I put that on the window next to the change mat that distracts him. Also before you get straight into the nappy try play- like tickling or singing for a minute before going to work on the nappy.
