Nappy rash

Hiya, my daughter has had nappy rash for nearly four weeks now. It started out as a big sore, like a burn, but now it’s lots of little sores, spots and a red bum. We’ve been in and out the GP and tried so many creams: - steroid antibiotic cream - timodine anti fungal cream - metanium yellow cream - sudocrem - sudosalve - bepanthem - coconut oil Nothing is working and I’m losing my mind because it gets better then gets worse again. We thought maybe Metanium was making it worse so we’re back onto sudocrem and I’ve ordered some more creams on Amazon to try tomorrow. We’ve even tried plastic free eco nappies and we already use cheeky wipes (Terry towel cloths and water). I’ll be back to the GP on Tuesday but I was wondering if anyone else has any tips or ideas of what I can do? I feel so sorry for her 😭

Are you breastfeeding? My daughter has had the same for I think around 3 weeks and it just seems to be getting worse, I thought it might’ve been the creams that were making it worse too so I started using coconut oil but it hasn’t helped at all. It’s literally tiny red spots all over and redness all around her bum. Someone mentioned that their baby had the same and it turns out it was due to a dairy allergy so I think my daughter might be the same. I’m just starting to cut out dairy, eggs and soya(literally today lol) so hoping that helps!! Maybe it could be the same for you? Honestly not sure but I hope she gets better soon, it’s so awful I feel so bad too 😭

My mam said she used to swear by covering the sores in egg white 🤷‍♀️ so far we haven’t had anything that bepanthen didn’t sort out so I haven’t tried it myself, but it’s worth a go

Lots of nappy free time helped clear up nappy rash. We bought some puppy training pads to lie down on for any little accidents. Also making sure the skin is fully dry before putting any cream on x

Egg white worked a treat for me with my eldest son

@E yeah I’m BF, I already cut out dairy 2 1/2 weeks ago and it hasn’t made a difference and the GP doesn’t take me seriously with it. I’m going to ring HV tomorrow and ask if they can do anything else like allergy testing because we’ve woke up today and the rash is worse again

My little one has the same, how's yours now? Any better, I feel awful. She constantly poos out the tiniest bit. Liker your talking every 30secs-1min meaning the area is never clean

@Georgina we finally got on top of it with timodene, sudosalve and drapolene creams. However it’s Judy returned so think she has a milk allergy! We found metanium actually made it worse

Metanium made it worse for us too. She on timodene now but no improvement 😔 not tried sudosalve weve been using sudocrem and a mix of other barrier creams

@Georgina sudosalve and drapolene was the best cream for us especially because she was pooing so regularly. I’m gutted it’s come back but it’s bedside I tried having dairy again and it increased the poos 😭
