Any THIRD sweep success stories?

40+4 today. Very over being pregnant. Had an easy time physically but a hard time mentally due to previous recurrent loss. More than ready to hold my baby in my arms! First sweep was like a glorified smear. I went about my day after as normal. Second sweep was majorly uncomfortable! I went to bed for the rest of the afternoon with cramps. However and unfortunately - both did nothing! Third and final sweep today before induction on Saturday. Respectfully, this isn’t a post about whether to have another sweep. Nor is about whether I’m not overdue till after 42 weeks etc. That said… Please does anyone have any third sweep success stories?! 😭🙏🏽 xxx

I am in the exact same boat! 3rd sweep booked for today and induction booked! Fingers crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

@kim me too! I had my second sweep yesterday and praying the baby comes before my induction on Friday 🙏🏾

I think it depends on if your body is Already close to labouring naturally to whether the sweeps will be successful x

So I had 2 failed ones last week due to cervix not being filed forward and still posterior I’m 40+3 today and Had a successful sweep earlier and the midwife was brilliant she laid me right back so I was comfortable - my husband was with me making sure I done my breathing technique (sounds dramatic just for a sweep but I can never relax always tense up) She managed to get a finger round and said it was all good, might experience some spotting which I have done already and only had sweep about 2 hours ago. So I’m just hoping this brings things along before being induced on Thursday as I just want to avoid that as much as possible xx

Third sweep complete. Apparently cervix further forward. From 1/2cm last time to 1cm this time. I guess we will see but I’m not hopeful 😩
