Copper coil

I am aware this is probably TMI. I apologise. I have the copper coil in, had 3 days of spotting and just started my period. Since having the coil any discharge or blood from my period has been insanely stringy. Is this normal because it is really weirding me out. I've had the coil in since November 2022 so a long time now. I have tried to research it but I'm not coming across any stories of anyone experiencing similar.
