I think th emitters are a bit excessive and only needed in winter. The rest of her outfit is like just wearing a sleep suit. She’s probably ok depending on the thickness of the blanket and how many times it’s wrapped round her. Next time check her by putting you hand on her chest/back and see if she feels hot/clammy
I found after about 5 days old baby started to regulate her temp a bit better of a night time so is now comfortable in a long sleeve vest and a 1tog swaddle bag. Our bedroom currently sits between 21-24°C so for the warmer nights I’ve used short sleeve vest. That being said the first few nights she needed a vest sleepsuit and sleeping bag to stay normal x
You should never have a fan pointed at the baby.
Have a look at lullabytrust page for what to put your baby in at night.
Yes that would be too hot for baby I imagine maybe two to reduce the clothing x
Definitely a lot of layers. Not sure how thick the blanket is but I would do a long sleeve onesie and that.
@Morgan how many tog is the sleeping bag?
That’s essentially the same as wearing a sleeper and a swaddle which should be fine. I would just think all those layers would make diaper changes a hassle more than anything!
it depends on the thickness of the blanket but it doesn’t sound like too much to me 😭😂 if i put baby in a thicker blanket then i’ll only have them in a onesie socks and hat but with a thinner muslin blanket i’ll do a a sleeper with socks and onesie underneath
Our room is 72° and he’s just in a tiny short sleeved onesie with no pants and a swaddle and even then he’s sweating at times
@Eliza the ones we’ve always used (my twins are 2 years old now) are 0.5!
I would swaddle the baby in a thin blanket if she’s already wearing a long sleeved outfit! I had a baby in august so she slept in a short sleeve onesie and swaddle but my March baby slept in a long sleeve onesie and swaddle. I kept one of those foot monitors on her for peace of mind. There’s a cheap one on Amazon I used!
I’m in the UK so to us that temperature is hot🤣 it was 70 in our room last night and my son had a long sleeve vest on and a 1.5tog sleeping bag, that’s all. It’s actually safer for babies to be a bit too cold than too hot
