Protein trace in urine
So today I was at the hospital for an appointment, did a urine sample (which I actually said at the time, it looks a funny colour). Anyway I saw the midwife test it and she kept my urine and didn’t through it away but never mentioned anything to me.. Anyway, I’ve just checked badger notes (the app) and it says on my notes that I had ‘protein’ in my urine today.. anyone know if this should have been mentioned to me and is it a concern?

It's because protein in urine is linked with pre-eclampsia but only over a certain marker. I had it in mine but she hasn't referred me..as it was just a trace
A few weeks ago at my midwife appointment the same thing happened to me, although she did talk to me about it at the time. My midwife advised that I was dehydrated and needed to up my liquid intake as well as eat a few more calories. She also advised that there’s a ‘score’ and only if you’re over a certain number do they intervene x
