Why is a taweez hanged on a gate?

Would any sisters know this, it’s freaked me out while I know taweez isn’t suppose to be used in Islam as we should trust in Allah to protect us always. I noticed one hanging on my neighbours gate and instantly I thought are they experiencing anything like evil spirits etc. I’m thinkin they have put it up for protection of some sort maybe? I’ve heard of people using it on themselves but never saw it hanged🙁

It might be protection from black magic ? I know people wear it to stop black magic and protect themselves from it occurring or protect from nazar

People do hang it on their belongings, house, babies, themselves 😅 as protection but Taweez is shirk, it has no power or any protection.

Taweez normally has quranic ayats in it. It is encouraged in Islam to always have Quranic ayats on you or for you to recite constantly to protect from evil eye etc. I personally don't believe it is shirk, but again my opinion

@M Quranic ayats fine but what about when you go toilet? Removing and putting it back on sounds like a hassle.

@Rallii that's the challenge you have to take to remove it when you use the toilet. Personally I don't think you should wear it per say (again my opinion) but if it's on the house and has ayats in it I don't see the issue
