What is Sex Chromosome - NEGINC

Hey ladies, I just got my NIPT results. I’m having a boy 👦🥰 but the results also say Sex Chromosome- NEGINC (I know NEGINC means Negative Inconclusive) Does anyone know what the actual meaning is? Can I trust my gender results or should I check with my OB to confirm?

So on my NIPT results it says Sex chromosome aneuploidy - NEG/Not detected, which I’m assuming is same thing as yours. Thankfully in my results it gives explanation of the results and it basically just means that there are no sex chromosome abnormalities detected such as an extra or missing chromosome. Your gender results are still accurate. Congrats on your baby boy! 🤍 I’m having my second girl 🥰

As long as all your other screening results come out negative or low risk then everything is good, that’s what my doctor explained to me. Your OB should definitely go over them with you though!

@Bianca Thanks for clarifying, Bianca. Congratulations to you too for your baby girl… 💕
