How long does you tub of neocate last?

How long does a tub of neocate last/how many feeds are u getting out of it? I went to order repeat prescription today a couple of days early knowing they would have to order and knowing its the only thing that works for my LO. They told me that I couldn't order more till the 4th September! And that I shouldn't have run out yet. I've never had this problem before. My LO is a hungry baby. He's five months and has about 5/6 bottles of 180-210ml a day. 900ml minimum. We only get 4 x 400g boxes at a time.

mine lasts about a day and a half and he has around 5 x 7oz bottles a day, i get 14 tins a month and it seems to last that long

@Amy that sounds similar to us. I've just looked on the back of the tin and worked out that a tin lasts 2 and a half days with lower end of feeds so 4 tins = 10 days at the most? I went back after 7 days as u have half a tin left 🤔

I have nutramagin too but he really reacts to that so don't want to give it

strange! i’ve always ordered more when im down to 4 tins and never had a problem. i’d definitely go back and complain they can’t leave your baby without any formula!!

@Jo I had this issue. In the end I went to my gp and just blagged that I spoke to my HV and that “she told me to request an increased prescription if you’re going to limit how often I can order”. It was my last resort but it worked. They immediately upped him to 8 x 400g every 2 weeks instead of 4! Xx

That’s terrible!!!!! Phone 111 and ask them to prescribe more and they will. Maybe change GP and put in a complaint. Which neocate formula is it?
