My LO has been seeing an occupational therapist, who warned against using a jump bouncer, she said no more than 10 minutes a day, but preferable to not use it at all because it can cause issues. But they definitely wanted her sitting on her own before using it at all
I read they are no longer recommended. Can cause knee issues and other ligament problems.
My son is almost 5 months & we put him in a bouncer when he hit 4 months. He loves it & I can get stuff done lol
Just after four months. She loves being on her feet and had great head control. I know they aren’t recommended and we prefer doing tummy time but I’ll put her in if I need to get a chore done or something.
They are no longer recommended but it's the only way I can get things done 😅 ... my son loves his. We started using it when his feet could properly touch the platform.
I asked our pediatrician about this because my baby loves to jump when I’m holding him up in my lap and has fantastic head and trunk control. She said not to until at least 6 months and even then for only a little bit at a time to protect his hips etc. So for now either his dad or I are his bouncer 🙃
We put my daughter in it just after 4 months, but she had crazy good head control and was putting weight in her legs when we hold her up in a standing position. When in doubt ask your pediatrician 😊
