Clothing sizes?

My little one is 14 weeks old so is in 3-6months clothes. So panicked bought a second hand 3-6 month bundle but half of them don’t fit. He is an average size/weight baby. Does anyone else find clothing brands vary massively in size? Can anyone recommend any brands that tend to come up slightly larger please?

Every brand varies and the should also have weight on the label so you can see if your LO will fit it I normally go by the weight rather then size if I'm honest

Yes he’s very depending on the shop Primark are smaller John Lewis a bit bigger So even if he is average just buy next size up 6 to 9 months it might be a bigger but but at least it’s comfortable

Yup! My girl is 5.5 months, some 3-6 fit in some brands and others don’t. Such as Tesco will but primark won’t. They are all so different!!

Yup its a thing. Asda and Sainsburys are much smaller than Tesco or matalan 🤦‍♀️

I find Sainsbury’s really small, especially lengthwise! Asda have always been good, or Next! But shops vary so much!

Asda George I always found them bigger for sizes

I find next comes up bigger and m& s a bit smaller. My babies 18 weeks, 19 weeks tomorrow and is in 0-3 but in m&s she fits into 3-6

I'm struggling with my little boy. He's 12 weeks and in 0-3. The problem I have is he is long but not chunky. So things are short in the leg for him. Nutmeg at Morrisons are good for sizes and George. Primark I've found and good for length but huge round his tummy. @Emily I found that with Sainsbury's as well.

Yes it’s a nightmare! Our lo is almost 5 months and okay her legs are a little chunky but some brands fit some even 6-9 would fit now 🤦🏻‍♀️ it’s costing so much money repeatedly trying to buy clothes because of the sizes! I brought for next size up and am using them already ☹️

Asda comes up big, Tesco is tiny don’t bother with them. Primark is very hit and miss I find some things come up huge some tiny. H&M comes up largest in my experience x

I found it varies by brand and with buying second hand it can vary depending on how much things have been tumble dried shrunk. My second is growing out of clothes faster than my first because they shrank when her big sister had them so seems like she’s bigger.

H&M is absolutely the best for bigger sizes!

Next sizing is really big, my 7 month old still fitting in 0-3 as by weight they run a lot larger

My 13 week old is in 3-6 Primark tend to come up smaller boots seems to be slightly roomier Asda/tesco seem to be more bang on. Before he was born I bought a couple of suits in all the sizes and now I buy more of what he is currently in but as you know they grow out of them soooo fast! Some things he never even got to wear due to his rapid growth lol. I thought he was going to be a 6/7lb baby but he was actually 8 2 ❤️

I find some brands shrink a bit in the tumble dryer, particularly Primark.
