@Emily oh the poor wee thing 😢 my wee girl got it prescribed 2 days ago and still getting sick 😫
It took a couple days but we had to use either gaviscon or caribel to thicken the milk as it’s so thin he was just throwing it up!
@Nikita I am using gaviscon at the minute 4 times a day but the doctor wants me to wean down on it untill she stops taking it altogether because she's on omeprazole too. She is NG fed so I don't even know if I can use carobel
We thicken with Carobel. Did so with pepti as well as they hypoallergenic formulas are just so thin. They generally aggravate reflux a lot x
It took about a week to see any difference. It is very thin mind so it’s normal for baby to be sick with it. Also carobel continues to thicken so maybe ask a doctor, especially if any stays in the NG tube and over thickens x
We are in this and ended up with severe constipation so please keep close eye but worked after a day or so x
Thanks girls , my wee woman is still vomiting after every feed and shes been on neocate from wednesday 😢😫 and she is super fussy didn't sleep well last night either, she seems to be in pain with trapped wind aswell 😭 ugh doesn't seem to be making a difference
Is she projectile with the sick ?
@Charlotte sometimes she is, when she gets sick she always coughs or burps before hand and then freezes and gets sick. It's like she can't keep it down and the burp or cough starts it off
@ꜱʜᴀɴɴᴏɴ ♡ you can. They will have to change the NG tube your little one has to a bigger one if milk won’t flow or flow too slow. My daughter had NG tube because of her heart condition when she was a baby.
@Maja hi maja so my daughter has 6.5fr in now, in hospital a few weeks ago they put in 8fr she was so unsettled with it in and ended up sneezing it out x
My little boy got prescribed this lastnight by the hospital and he just vomited it back up 😩
