croupe

My little currently has croup. It's a very common illness unfortunately. My eldest had it as a baby too. Often it will resolve but sometimes they need a bit extra help. My current child has been given an extra strength medicine to soothe the throat and cough enough to allow him to heal. It's only been 48 hours and he's doing loads better

My nephew has it quite a few times as a baby and he's absolutely fine now. It's scary when they get it because they sound horrible don't they, poor little ones. Id say just keep an eye and ring 111 if you're not sure. We took my nephew to hospital with it a couple of times and they'd always rather you checked!

My eldest had it and was given some medication and was fine. My LO had it last month and was not great ended up in hospital and needed a couple of adrenaline nebulisers. Took her just over 2 weeks to completely get over it but after 2/3 bad days it was just a bad cough. Every baby is different x

thank you all so much. been to the doctor today and they gave him a steroid shot so that's good now lots of TLC and cuddles. so awful but hopefully getting over the worst.
