Babies first cold😢
Just looking for some advice, this morning me and baby (6 weeks) have woken up with a cold. I have a sore throat and a runny nose so I’m assuming she has the same. Definitely has a runny nose so I’m using a snot sucker to keep her nose clear and she is also coughing which then makes her cry😢 her temperature is also coming up as 37.7 degrees, but the Calpol in the shops is saying 2 months+ and baby should be more than 4kg… she weighed 4.7kg last Tuesday so would she be okay to take it? I would ask a pharmacist but haven’t had a way of getting to one today and worried about her temperature getting any higher. What would you do?

Using a snot sucker more than I think 4 times a day can irritate the nose even more. You can give a nasal saline in the meantime, and use humidity to help clear her nose
For any baby under 3 months you should call your paediatrician asap for any sign of illness. <3
GP will see you the same day regardless what time you phone in the UK when baby under 3 months old
I’d ring 111 for advice regards the calpol x
