Baby has caught my cold

He is 11 weeks and EBF. I’ve took precautions while having the cold but this morning he has woke up all snotty. He doesn’t seem bothered by it and I have calpol ready. Should I take him to see a dr

I was told they all have colds at the moment. What are you hoping a Dr will suggest? Calpol sounds like a good plan. Also nasal saline drops might help

@Lauren I have one of these too but scared to use it haha x

Use it I was the same but it’s great I was shocked what came out haha but cleared his nose x

A few things that can help: - Saline drops followed by nasal aspirator. Babies can’t clear their noses themselves so they need us to do it for them! I do this when mine has a cold around 10 minutes before nursing - Feed little and often. Offer feeds more frequently as baby might be able to take much in one go - Steam up the bathroom and sit in there together so baby can breathe in the steam which will help loosen everything - Humidifier in the room that baby sleeps in, again this can help loosen mucus etc - Vapour rub on chest and feet - Calpol - Babywearing during the day and propping up the cot with a book so baby isn’t completely flat Hope little one feels better soon!xx

That's rough - I feel your pain! My LO also caught a cold from us a couple of weeks ago. We used Calpol, Calpol saline spray, Calpol easy breathing plug in for the nights and a nose sucker, which were really effective. I hope your LO feels better soon. X
