That was always my first sign I was pregnant in my other pregnancies. It eventually went away, but I would have to brush regularly….always would puke a little a bile… and then just finish by brushing with just water for another min or so. This pregnancy I don’t have that particular issue, but most days I can smell the chlorine in the tap and that makes me sick.
My entire first trimester I threw up nearly everytime I brushed my teeth. I got a non fluoride toothpaste that had very little minty taste and that helped me out a lot
Same here. I found that an electric toothbrush helped me because there isn't that back and forth motion in the back of my mouth.
i'm 14 weeks and yes. but mainly in the mornings for me. i've heard maybe try different flavored toothpaste like bubble gum or kids toothpaste but i haven't tried that yet.
Only when I brush my tongue
This was the case for me my 1st and second pregnancy, nothing helps it for me unfortunately, I use tounge scrappers and mouth wash and try to avoid scrubbing the back of my tounge.
Try without toothpaste. The motion of brushing (small circles, not sweeping back and forth) is more important than the toothpaste itself, and often the foam from the toothpaste is encroaching on the area that triggers your gag reflex.
I'm 16 weeks and have been this way about all of my pregnancy. The spit building up in my mouth is what makes me gag. No way to manage it 🥲 haha try to distract myself by walking around or just have to brush my teeth for shorter periods of time more often
