eczema cream recommendations

Does any anyone have creams they recommend for eczema. My little girl is suffering with it at the moment. I have tried sudocream, centraben and E45 and they don’t seem to be making much difference. I have also been to the doctors a few times but they are basically saying this just life until she grows out of it 😢. Any recommendations would be really appreciated

My sis in law has used dream cream from lush that has seemed to really help her and she has it quite bad, my daughter currently has it and we’ve been using zero base moisturiser on it, this does help it clears it but it does always come back so we’ve been given a steroid cream from the doctors to apply when it’s cracked and sore, if that fails I will be attempting the dream cream with her it’s the only thing that helps my sis in laws flare ups

So our son has eczema and we have been told by someone who knows about skincare that lots of people with eczema can’t tolerate lanolin on their skin. When we looked it’s an ingredient in both sudocream and e45! We use the Aveeno emolument cream. I think all Aveeno is lanolin free but you can check on the ingredients

My little girl is using epimax gel for hers and it helps massively xx

I have had eczema all my life and it is just something I have to live with. I have grown out of it a bit but will get flare ups in new places every few years. Most recently its been around my eyes and neck and the best thing I've discovered this time is 100% shea butter which I got from the body shop. I typically use aveeno but it would irritate my eyes a lot, the shea butter is not too oily that it'll run into my eyes and is really gentle and moisturising. For very itchy painful eczema I've used Aloe Vera just to cool it down and then washed it off and applied moisteriser. I also use massage oil during the cooler months just because its much easier to cover over my entire body and I just generally get drier skin in winter. Sugar is a big cause of my eczema, also some dairy. Plus stress and also some detergents and fabrics, so avoiding any known irritants also helps, obviously.

My son has a really bad eczema since he was newborn, and it gets worse and worse, we tried so many different products and prescriptions, didn’t work for him . it was very traumatic experience . But finally the cream I got from his doctor which is ( junior cream ) worked amazingly well ,moisturise 2 to 3 times a day but in the cold weather it comes back so i discovered that is because of a bath that I give him every night, made it worse so I started ones a week absolutely helped me very well ( no hot bath no long baths ) I am first time mom and I learned this hard way. hop this helps

Bria Organics replenish balm - haven’t used anything else for 2 years now, this saved my daughters skin from stage 2 topical steroid withdrawal where her skin was blistered, weeping and open sores, within 2 days, pricy but honestly worth every penny. Also, giving her a pro-biotic because eczema stems from an unbalance in the gut, it’s the outside reaction for it. BioGaia do one and it’s very good. Good luck x

I haven’t found the perfect one yet but I have been using the lipikar line from la Roche Posay with the cicaplast cream from LP too. It’s helping my daughter a lot

@Steph can you plz share a pic of the pro biotic x

Thanks everyone for your advice. I feel so sorry for her and hate the fact I’m just being told to wait it out. Have brought a few that have been suggested. Keeping my fingers crossed it works.
