oh also, my contractions didn't get to 3 in 10 mins before i went into hospital, i followed my midwife's advice and left for hospital when they were getting intense, despite triage suggesting i take some paracetamol and stay home😅
I’m currently every 3-4 minutes lasting 30-40 seconds. But the pain is manageable when I move around. This is all very confusing 🫤
So I'm a cautionary tale... first labour 40 hours, progressed slowly but kept contracting throughout. 2nd labour was having lots of sporadic braxton hicks for a few days, no pattern. Labour started at 4:30pm contractions strong and 7 mins apart ish mostly able to talk through them, lasting 30-45 sec. By 8"30pm every 2-3 mins but not yet lasting a minute. Contraction App was saying not ready to go in yet, but called L&D and they told me I should head on in. Got there at 9:30 after finishing packing and having a shower. Was checked and lady was like you're 9cm. They were struggling to get IV line in and wheel me into a delivery room, when I was like baby is coming and water was breaking. Told not to push while on the trolley, get onto the table, I'm like no, need to push, doc was getting scrubs on in corner and nurse helped deliver my girl after 3 pushes at 10:03pm. So definitely can be a lot shorter... I was stunned I was at 9cm when they measured me, I think I said something along the lines of "Oh Fuck!"
Might ring triage then! 😂 they are 40 seconds now with a few sporadic 60 second ones , every 3 mins
Ooh good luck! My first had 7hrs of latent labour after waters breaking spontaneously but I delivered him after 45min of active labour With this guy I’ve been in latent labour for daysssss and contractions have only just started to intensify
first labour was 12pm-8pm. second labour 11pm -3am. so roughly half the time
Went in at 4:30 was born at 9am! Xxx
ahhh congratulations!!
with baby 2, my contractions started about 6:40pm and were coming about every 5/6 minutes. they got intense quite quickly and i remembered my mother in law's advice to get to hospital quicker this time😅 we got to hospital just before 10pm, i was 6cm dilated. baby was born at 11:43 xx
