Gaining weight?

Is anyone else not able to lose any weight / gaining more? I exclusively breastfed my baby up until a year. He’s now 13 months old. I’ll admit while breastfeeding / pumping I was eating a little more than my “usual” but we weaned and so now I feel like I’ve cut back on eating has 95% of the time we make food at home (mostly healthy). And we go on walks a few times a week. I know I’m not actively working out much but the last month I’ve gained 12 lbs and it’s the healthiest I’ve been since even before getting pregnant I weighed 180 before pregnancy and now I’m 210. I was 198 just a month ago. While I didn’t think I’d necessarily lose weight, I figured I’d at least stay the same. Idk I’m just frustrated. I hate my body right now but mostly how fat my face looks especially in photos.

I’ve been stuck at the same weight for months now. I’m still BFing once a day so I’m sure my body is still holding on to some weight because of that, but I really thought the scale would move at least a little bit now that I’ve cut back to just that one feed per day. I’ve also been trying to dial my nutrition back in and I’m lifting 4x a week and walking at least 3 miles every day with the dogs and the baby. But the mama pooch is hanging on and the scale isn’t budging 😩 my butt is coming back at least thanks to lifting but that’s it

When I stopped breastfeeding my weight shot up but I can't do much as I'm pregnant again. Doctor told me stopping breastfeeding causes hormone changes and can cause weight gain. To let my body go back to normal and the weight loss will get easier to do. Some women just tend to gain and not really lose after having babies. Especially if you are older. Like me I'm 37. It's been hard on me to.

When I stopped breastfeeding I gained like 25lbs, still trying to lose. It’s super difficult idk why

@Karen ugh so interesting!! I thought for sure I would at least stay steady since I’m not snacking nearly as much but I guess I was really burning all those calories breastfeeding 🤦🏼‍♀️ It’s so hard!!

@Crystal I guess it makes sense! I never would have guessed

@Laura yes I thought for sure I would do better but I guess not!
